BBC’s Digital Cities Bristol Week upcoming events

Focus on city challenges Responsible innovation

Bristol City Council’s City Innovation Team is pleased to be taking in part in four events as part of the BBC’s Digital Cities Bristol Week during November. This year’s events are focused around boosting digital skills. Our events have been created to draw attention to the areas of digital inclusion as well as open data.


Venue: Second Floor |Just Eat | Broad Quay |Bristol | BS1 4DJ

Date: 09:30 to 17:00 on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th  November 2018  from 10:00 to 16:30

Join us for a weekend of constructive fun. Together we will develop projects that unite great ideas, awesome digital and creative skills with open data (powered by the Bristol API and Bristol Open Data Platform).


Venue: Bristol City Hall |College Green | Bristol | BS1 5TR

Date: Wednesday 28th November 2018 at various times

These workshops are certified by Google and aim to enhance your business and professional skills. Ideal for small business owners, anybody looking to enhance their skills or change their career. Three workshops will be held throughout the day and you can choose to book onto one, two or all three!


Venue: UWE’s  Graphic Design studios | Arnolfini | 16 Narrow Quay | Bristol | BS1 4QA

Date: 14:00 – 17:00 on Wednesday 28th November 2018 

Are you interested in how we can increasingly work with data, for the benefit of the residents and guests to Bristol, humanity and our planet at large?

This event will provide an opportunity for people and organisations to ‘pitch’ for one of the 3 x £15k commission awards available, and showcase their work to a Bristol audience.
