A future smart Bristol might be enabled by technology and data, but it will only be sustained by trust. We want communities to influence how technology is used in the city, become more connected and included in the social and economic benefits digital technology brings to the city.
We want to ensure that solutions are trust-worthy, inclusive and citizen-centred. We aim to achieve this through ethical data practices and equitable use of technologies, alongside digital inclusion, skills and community engagement. Our ethos of responsible innovation will ensure that we are alive to the ethical, societal and regulatory challenges of smart cities.
A smart Bristol should use technology for public good.
